However, this boss can quickly pivot to slice and smash behind her, so be ready to keep mobile after getting a few hits in. If you move quick enough, you can get behind the trail, and attack from behind while the boss waits for the fires to erupt. Another lethal move begins when the Dancer plants her sword into the ground, and will quickly weave it in a path around the front and side of her, before the trail erupts into highly damaging flames. When the boss slowly raises its sword above its head, it’s winding up for a powerful vertical smash that deals heavy fire damage, but is thankfully easier to dodge to the left or right. The Dancer employs many spinning and slashing moves, and some can be easier to detect than others. One thing to note is that you’ll need fire resist, and possibly dark magic as well for the latter half of the fight.

Wielding a flaming curved sword, The Dancer can be a hard opponent to read, as it sifts and weaves intricately from one move to the next. The Dancer combines the traits of many enemies you’ve faced in your battles - from the grace of the Pontiff Knights, to the agility of the Carthus Skeletons, and the sheer force of the Outrider Knight.
